~Sunset on the Prairie~

Happy Monday! I hope that you had a wonderful Independence Day--we did. We sat on our back porch and watched the fireworks in two different small town east of us. They were in the distance, but beautiful nonetheless. Peaceful, relaxing beauty. We couldn't hear the pops, and the doggy slept through the entire show! This is the first 4th of July that she wasn't scared to death! I took this photo just as the sun was going to sleep in our part of the country. I am in awe of the rainbow of color that comes when the day is done. Magnificent!

  1. What a beautifull shot you have. You will be capturing many different backgrounds for computer I think!! Wait for the change of seasons. I've been reading through your blog and I hope your move is over and your settled in. Your dog is just precious waiting on her other half. THank you for having me and I hope you'll stop by for a visit.

  2. what a beautiful picture! I love sunsets and sunrises! I think you guys had a delightful Fourth! can't tell you how many lost dog posters I've seen (and one lost dog out on the road, but someone else picked it up before we did) from the Fourth; poor little ones don't like that sound. We kept all windows closed and music on loud when we left in hopes Koda couldn't hear too many; we didn't have displays close by, but some neighbor kids (illegally) putting off fireworks

hoping today is a good one!
