~Just Soakin' Up the Rays....

A sunny day puts a whole new perspective on things doesn't it? A beautiful bright sun filtering through the living room windows finds me sitting on the floor, face to the sun cutting tiny pieces of fabric for a new tablerunner pattern. It was so warm, that I slipped on a summer top!! I am dreaming of spring today! The old girl needs a perch however, but she's still enjoying the view! You're probably getting sick of the constant weather updates on this blog....but truly, I've never lived anywhere that had so much snow! 62.5" now.....and more expected! Oh well, my pal and I-we'll just enjoy the warmth of the sun...on this day..at this moment.

Blessings~

  1. I love to sit in the sun. It does feel soooo good. Too bad there is not much here at all. I love the pink and greens in that chair. It looks like Spring all by its self. That cutie sitting in the chair has the right idea for sure!

  2. One reason we moved to NZ is for all the sun. I LOVE sitting in the sun. I think in a previous life I was a cat. Beautiful photo!

  3. THis has been, hands down, the strangest winter I have seen. Just when the body gets used to one thing it flips a weather switch and in comes something else.

The table runner ~ GORGEOUS my friend!!! Just gorgeous. I can't wait for the room to be done so I may display all my pretties!!!

I will email you privately for more...

    Hugs

  6. Sharon! I love you!

Love you, love you, love you!

First and foremost for being a sun goddess like me and appreciating the golden rays streaming through your window. It really does warm the heart and soul. I am a sunshine girl though and through. Nothing else can brighten my spirits in an instant like a sunny day. And we are finally having one today in North Florida.

I know, I know... it's always sunny in Florida, right? Well someone forgot to tell Florida this winter because it's been dreary and cold and rainy and yukky for months. I am SO HAPPY that the sun has finally come out.

Maybe it it was the arrival of your amazingly breathtakingly gorgeous quilt that finally got the sun to shine.

Your package arrived yesterday and I couldn't wait to call you this morning to gush over it. Sorry I missed you and left that rambling message on your voicemail - but I was just SO excited! I'll keep trying until I catch you. I adore my quilt. It's the prettiest thing I've ever seen in my life. I can't believe you made it with your own hands. It is just indescribably beautiful. Every time I look at it, I sigh.

You are so kind and generous for making this precious quilt for me. Thank you so very very much. Now I need to come up with a special way to return the favor!

Thank you again dear friend. I am featuring my quilt in a new post at Casa Hice, so be sure to swing by and soak up the glory.

  10. Love your dog too. Lovely Old Girl. Thanks for your comment on Foxy and her hat. I found if I sat on the floor with a milkbone in my mouth she was distracted and I could photograph her with her hats. Have quite a log of Foxy photos in her vintage hats. Maybe I'll put up a photo display of the diva.
Your blog is lovely, I'll be back to say hello. Barbara
